Hilton Head Island is located just off the coast of South Carolina, approximately 45 minutes from Savannah Georgia. The Island is 12 miles long and 5 miles wide and is widely acclaimed as one of the great sports and recreational destinations. The Hilton Resort is located oceanside next to 12 miles of sandy beaches. Inland you will find creeks, lagoons and forests and an abundance of wildlife. October is a wonderful time to be in the low country of South Carolina. The crowds have gone and the weather is wonderful!

Hypertension in small animal medicine
This segment will focus on how and why routine evaluation of blood
pressure is clinically important.  It will review common canine and
feline diseases that are associated with hypertension as well as
those diseases that may be exacerbated by undiagnosed hypertension.
Finally, clinical management of hypertension will be discussed with
emphasis on when to treat and what constitutes a rational therapeutic
target.

This segment will focus on the diagnosis and management of common
clinically important heart diseases in mature dogs.

clinically important heart diseases in mature cats.

This segment will be a case based approach to the management of acute
