This will be our second visit to my homeland! Start planning now for a wonderful tour. The tour will start from Los Angeles on Monday October 24th- returning to the USA on Sunday November 6, 2005. The tour in Australia will start on Wednesday October 26, 2005 when we all meet in Melbourne. Our tour then moves to Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef prior to the final stop in Sydney. Our departure date from Sydney is Sunday November 6, 2005. Some of our animal visits will include the Sydney Zoo, Sanctuaries near Melbourne, an evening visit with hundreds of Penguins, Koala sanctuaries and the Great Barrier Reef. Other tours will lead us to the Daintree Rainforest, the Atherton Tablelands, wine country tours of the Hunter Valley outside Sydney and the Healesville Sanctuary outside Melbourne, the Opera House and maybe a stroll up the Sydney Harbor Bridge. There will be both organized tours and plenty of free time to explore and go your own way at each stopover. Dr. David Maggs who hails from Melbourne and is a frequent IVS speaker will be traveling with us and will be assisting in getting back stage visits to the zoo's etc. So check these dates.. you will also be able to fly in early and depart later.. we can assist in coordinating visits to other areas of interest. Continuing education will be oriented towards the many variations in veterinary medicine in Australia and will feature topics presented by local Veterinarians assisted by Dr's David Maggs and Lynelle Johnson from U.C. Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.
